Hello there, Reggie here.

If you’re planning a summer escape, let me tell you that Norfolk is the place to be. I’ve been sniffing out all the best spots, and I can officially confirm: this county is very dog-approved. Whether you’re into sandy paws or a good old-fashioned pub nap, there’s something for every kind of explorer. Here are some of my top picks for a tail-waggingly good summer.

Beach Days (My Personal Favourite)

Let’s start with the important stuff – beaches! Norfolk has miles of them, which basically means unlimited space for running and playing.

Places like Mundseley and Cromer Beach are perfect for splashing in the sea and making new dog friends and are both within 20 minutes of escape2norfolk.

Top tip from me: bring a ball. Always bring a ball.

Woodland Walks and Shady Adventures

When the sun’s out (and I start panting like I’ve just run a marathon), it’s time to head for the trees.

Bacton Wood is one of my favourite places for a proper adventure, just a 20 minute drive from escape2norfolk. There are endless trails, plenty of shade to keep cool and off-lead opportunities. Perfect for a long walk followed by a well-earned nap.

Dog-Friendly Days Out

Norfolk isn’t just about walks, and there are some brilliant places that welcome dogs too.

I just love visiting Blickling Estate, the breath-taking Jacobean mansion and ancient yew hedges that sit at the heart of a magnificent garden and historic park. With over 4,600 acres to explore, it’s a great spot for a relaxed wander with your humans. Even better? It’s only a 9 minute drive from escape2norfolk!

Pub Gardens and Treat Stops

Now we’re talking. After all that exploring, it’s only fair to stop for refreshments.

Across Norfolk, you’ll find plenty of dog-friendly pubs with big gardens, water bowls and sometimes even treats behind the bar (I always check). Somewhere like The Buckinghamshire Arms is a great place to relax while your humans refuel.

Back to Your Home from Home

After a big day of adventures, there’s nothing better than heading back to a cosy place to rest those paws. That’s where escape2norfolk comes in. There’s plenty of space to stretch out, dream about the day’s adventures and recharge for tomorrow.

So, if you’re thinking about a summer getaway, take it from me… Norfolk has everything you need for a truly pawsome holiday.

See you soon,Reggie 🐾
